What?

Gravity seems to be the simplest of all fundamental forces we know. We have to deal with it every day and everybody knows what happens if you throw a ball into the air. However, much is not known about the gravitational force: How does gravity behave at very small or very large distances? What happens if gravity is very strong, much stronger than in our daily life? And most importantly, can we unify gravity with the laws of quantum mechanics that underlies particle physics? In this Borrellecture we will address these issues and conclude that despite many recent research activities, we do not yet know the final story about gravity!
